What I Believe
Thoughts and convictions that influence how I think and write.
Tomas Pueyo inspired me to create this list of beliefs that reflect my views on the future. I hope it offers insight into the core thoughts shaping my writing. This list will evolve over time as new ideas and experiences shape my perspective. Stay tuned as I dive deeper into these themes, and feel free to challenge, question, and engage with them.
I believe nation-states are becoming superfluous.
I believe the most important things in life come with a high cost, but it’s not monetary.
I believe capitalism is the only economic system that works.
I believe democracy is overrated.
I believe every market should be and remain free.
I believe top performers will only work as freelancers or founders.
I believe the only thing that will tie top performers to a company is equity.
I believe virtual states will emerge, becoming more significant than geographical borders.
I believe Bitcoin will replace gold.
I believe true wealth is freedom.
I believe we are responsible for our actions.
I believe degrees will soon be irrelevant.
I believe robotics will disrupt blue-collar jobs.
I believe AI will disrupt white-collar jobs.
I believe politics will be replaced by AI.
I believe AI will become embedded in our lives and become a commodity.
I believe we waste too much time on meaningless causes, and we’ll waste even more.
I believe the future is shaped by those who understand second-order and third-order effects.
I believe population collapse will lead to a period of famine, terror, and death.
I believe only those with children can think long-term, after their death.
I believe Europe is a zombie, unaware that it’s already dead.
I believe every family will have a robot assistant that does everything in the home.
I believe that fortune favors the bold.
I believe no one can predict the future.
I believe all of these are true or possible, but I don’t know when they will happen.
